Television Editor - David Griffiths

David Griffiths is a descendant of Leopold Sanislas de Breanski, nobleman and French cavalry officer. Also, Gustave de Breanski the marine painter.

He is also a descends from the Bristol artist James Baker Pyne.

"I often think about my ancestors as I research the lives they led. Alfred de Breanski ,my great-great uncle, enjoyed his life to the full and his paintings are predominantly Scottish/Welsh renaissance. They depict scenes which were sadly out of touch with life as it actually was at the time. His training helped him produce classic visions of an idillic paradise in both Wales and Scotland. Even today, he is still seen as the painter of all time - of Scotland. The same accolade should be given to him for Wales. Alfred left his Welsh wife (although he found love again) His landscapes cast in canvas of Scotland and Wales still hang in the houses of the rich and famous from Texas to Japan. I am confident that if any of my artistic ancestors were alive today they would gravitate into the media."

The de Breanski family story coming soon.
